Abstract

|
A cast of angioimmunoblastic Iymphadenopathy with dysproteinemia is reported. This
61 year old house wife was admitted to Korea University Hospital with constitutional
symptoms such as generalized maculopapular skin rash, pruritis and high fever. Various
laboratory studies showed polyclonal hypergammaglobulinemia and leukocytosis with
relative eosinophilia and Iymphopenia. Pathologic finding of Iymph node biopsied prior to
therapy was charcterized by 1) loss of nodal architeture and infiltration of immunoblast,
plasmacytoid immunoblast, plasma cell, Iymphocytes and eosinophils, 2) prominent
proliferation of arborizing small vessels, and 3) deposit of PAS-positive amorphous
material in the interstitium. After 4 weeks of prednisolone (60㎎/day) therapy,
remarkable improvement in her subjective symptoms has occurred but Pathology of
Iymph node or hypergammaglobulinemia was not changed significantly.
